This is me...wait. This is I. Ugh, that sounds so pretentious.

If you can't tell already, I am a young writer. I've always loved to write and (hopefully) have something of a knack for it. So far, I've fought my way through fifteen daunting months of grad school in hopes of becoming a science journalist -- that's a journalist who writes about science. (Hey, I've been asked enough times for it to warrant a definition.)

My ultimate goal is to write for a general audience. I have always loved the world of science and believe that there is a lot to be gained from getting familiar with it. Unfortunately, science journalism is generally not accessible or entertaining enough to appeal to the average person. I want to help change that. Obviously, my ambitions are easier typed than done but I am doing my best by battling my way through this scary world known as professional journalism.

So bring it on science-phobes, we'll face our fears together!
